Sony have officially released their WF-1000XM6 wireless noise cancelling headphones or TWS earphones in Malaysia for RM1249. This is actually an early bird pre-order 21% discount price from the standard RM1599 while stocks last. Delivery will begin from 3 March 2026.

According to Sony, the WF-1000XM6 are their best noise cancelling earphones yet with 8.4mm drivers. They also support Multipoint Connection for easy automatic switching between devices and come in black and platinum silver.
Other standout features include bone conduction sensors, IPX4 water resistance, DSEE Extreme support, advanced Bluetooth 5.3 algorithms and 20 Hz - 20,000 Hz (44.1 kHz sampling) , 20 Hz - 40,000 Hz (LDAC 96 kHz sampling 990 kbps). There’s also the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3e, Integrated Processor V2, Multi Noise Sensor technology, Adaptive NC Optimiser and multiple mics to intelligently provide 25% more Noise Cancelling over the WF-1000XM5.
Each earpiece is admittedly a bit heavy at 6.5g but they claim 8 hours of continuous music playback with Noise Cancelling on. These will recharge in 1.5 hours while the case needs 2 hours for a full recharge. The case can be charged wirelessly or via USB cable and provides a total battery life of 24 hours.
