Although there are many wireless headphone brands today, there's no doubt that Sony stands as one of the best in this category. Sony's WH-1000XM series wireless headphones have always been great, but now the company has unveiled the more premium Sony WH-1000X The Collexion wireless headphones.
Sony WH-1000X The Collexion
Earlier today, Sony launched the WH-1000X The Collexion. This is Sony's new top-end WH-1000X series wireless headphones, offering upgrades (compared to the WH-1000XM6) in three areas: Aesthetics, hardware, and features. It also commands a noticeably higher RM2,799 price tag than the WH-1000XM6's RM2,099.
Sony's WH-1000X The Collexion features metal accents and soft vegan leather for the ear cups, which are deeper and wider to better fit more people. It also has a larger headband for better comfort and new stainless steel hinges that make it look distinctively different from its predecessors. Thanks to the six microphones on each side (12 in total), you also get clearer calls and noise cancellation.
It also has upgraded hardware for enhanced audio performance. Its studio-grade driver is the same one used in the WH-1000XM6, but has been tuned for better bass and a wider soundstage. It also has Spatial Audio with 360 Upmix to improve your audio experience in music, cinema and video games. Other notable features include HD Noise Cancelling, Adaptive NC Optimiser, High-Res Audio, and more.
Price and availability
Sony Malaysia has confirmed that its WH-1000X The Collexion wireless headphone is now available for RM2,799. You can get it in Platinum or Black colours.
