If you're shopping for a top-tier pair of wireless headphones, there are some you could get now at an affordable price. But if you're not in a hurry, you could wait for Sony to launch a new one sometime this year. Specifically, the WH-1000XM6.
According to The Walkmanblog, the Sony WH-1000XM6 has been certified by the US FCC and Canada. Its short-term confidentiality ends on 22 July 2025, so the launch could happen in the second half of 2025. For your info, the previous generation Sony WH-1000XM5 launched in 2022, so this new model could serve as a timely upgrade.

Currently, we don't know too much about Sony's next wireless headphones. However, the source did provide some info. While unconfirmed, the new model seems to have detachable earpads attached by clips or a magnetic component. If this is true, it could mean that the new WH-1000XM6 will have more options in terms of earcups. The source also confirmed that it has Bluetooth 5.3, so Low Energy Audio (LE Audio) should be supported.
The launch of the Sony WH-1000XM6 is likely a few months away, but would you be interested in getting it when it's released? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
