Update: The WF-C500 will be available in black, white, green and orange at a suggested price of RM449 in Malaysia from 18 October 2021, whereas the WH-XB910N will be available in black and blue at a suggested price of RM799 in Malaysia from November 2021
Just yesterday, Sony quietly showcased two new audio wearables that are coming in October. Called the WH-XB910N wireless headphones and WF-C500 wireless earbuds, it appears that these products are in the mid-range category for consumers.
The WH-XB910N wireless headphones look and function similar to the popular WH-1000XM series too but with some minor differences. From the website, it says you can still get the same noise-cancelling and EXTRA BASS feature for the best sound performance possible. There's also a Precise Voice Pickup Technology feature that is meant to taking a phone call on the spot.
As for the WF-C500 wireless earbuds, they too look similar to the WF-1000XM series. Although they are just a mid-range product, they still feature a Digital Sound Enhancement Engine for a more authentic listening experience. It's also noted that these wearables are IPX4 rated and can last up to 20 hours of battery life with the charging case.
At the moment, there is no news of when Sony Malaysia plans to import these into the local market. But just for your information, the WH-XB910N wireless headphones and the WF-C500 wireless earbuds cost £179 (~RM1008) and £89 (~RM501) respectively.
