The Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020 is scheduled to happen on 1 December and many can't wait to finally take a look at the 5nm Snapdragon 875 chipset. Other than Qualcomm, speakers from Xiaomi and OnePlus will also make an appearance to talk about the latest technology. Besides those brands, Sony is expected to be there as well and there could be an announcement regarding the Xperia 1 III.
At the two-day event, Xiaomi could be revealing the plan for Xiaomi Mi 11 series with OnePlus sharing information regarding the OnePlus 9 series. As we know, Sony's flagships have always come equipped with the flagship Snapdragon chipsets. Therefore, it leads us to believe that the company's next flagship device which is Xperia 1 III will be announced at the event.
Other than the Snapdragon 875, the Xperia 1 III should also sport a 4K display with 3840 x 1644 pixels same as Sony's previous smartphones. Therefore, Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro which is rumoured to receive a screen with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels is still inferior compared to the Xperia 1 III.
