If you want a phone with a 4K display and high-end mobile cameras, you can't go wrong with picking Sony's Xperia 1 series. In fact, details of the latest model were recently leaked, so let's check them out.
According to MSPowerUser, the Sony Xperia 1 VI will launch on 17 May 2024. The new model is expected to feature a triple camera at the back, consisting of a 16mm ultra-wide camera, a 24mm wide-angle camera with 2x optical zoom, and a telephoto camera with 85-170mm focal length (up to 7x zoom). The 24mm focal length camera is also the one with the CMOS image sensor, making it the main camera.
On top of that, Sony will be updating some of its camera apps. For example, the video-related ones will be streamlined into the new Video Creator app. Other Sony Xperia 1 VI specs include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which will feature an FPS optimiser for mobile games and support a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It will also come with an upgraded OLED display with 1.5x more brightness.
Since the Sony Xperia 1 V launched only in September 2023, it's surprising to see a new generation so soon. But what are you hoping to see from the Xperia 1 VI? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about this phone.
