Sony has officially introduced the Xperia 10 VII, the latest addition to its Xperia 10 series lineup, featuring a refined design, powerful performance upgrades, and enhanced sustainability initiatives. The refreshed model brings a host of premium features, from an improved camera experience with a dedicated shutter button to a long-lasting battery and advanced display and audio performance. Here's everything you need to know.

Quick Shooting with a Dedicated Shutter Button

Sony continues its tradition of a physical shutter button that allows users to instantly launch the camera app and capture photos, even when the screen is locked. Equipped with larger sensors than its predecessor, the Xperia 10 VII’s 13MP 16mm lens features a 1/3-inch sensor, while the 50MP 24mm lens uses a 1/1.56-inch sensor, offering 1.6 times more light sensitivity for clearer low-light photos. The dual-camera setup supports three focal lengths (16mm, 24mm, and 48mm), covering ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto perspectives for more versatile photography.

Under the hood, the Xperia 10 VII runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. Its 5000mAh battery life provides at least two days of usage, while Sony’s Adaptive Charging technology prevents battery degradation, maintaining 80% health even after four years.

The Xperia 10 VII boasts a 6.1-inch 19.5:9 aspect ratio display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smoother scrolling and more fluid video playback. Upgraded front-facing stereo speakers reduce cabinet vibration and reproduce richer, deeper sound, while enhanced Bluetooth transmission power ensures stable wireless connectivity even in crowded areas.

The device also offers six years of security updates and up to four major OS upgrades, making it one of the most future-proof smartphones in its category.

Smart AI Integration: Circle to Search and Google Gemini

The Xperia 10 VII integrates Google’s Circle to Search feature, letting users quickly find information by circling, tapping, or highlighting anything on their screen without leaving the current app. Additionally, Google Gemini, the AI-powered assistant, is built in to help users brainstorm ideas, summarise topics, plan events, or rehearse presentations, all with real-time conversational responses. Gemini can be instantly accessed by long-pressing the power button.

Lightweight Design with Durable Sustainable Build

Weighing only 168 grams, the Xperia 10 VII sports a sleek new silhouette with a revamped camera layout and a soft matte texture for comfortable handling. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, providing high durability against drops and scratches.

Users can personalise their phones with the new Style Cover (XQZ-CBFE), featuring a colour gradient design that complements the phone’s finish, a yellowing-resistant back, and easy-access side buttons.

Sony continues its push toward eco-friendly innovation. The Xperia 10 VII’s packaging eliminates plastic use, and approximately 77% of the materials used in its components are sustainable — including recycled and plant-based resins such as Sony’s own SORPLAS.
