According to ITHome, Japanese media Sumahodigest released a set of promotional pictures of mobile phone cases suspected to be Sony Xperia 10 VII. So, what should you know about it?

A revamped model?

For your information, the leak suggests that the model will undergo significant adjustments in design - the rear camera module will be changed from the previous vertical arrangement to a horizontal arrangement.

Additionally, the Sony Xperia series has long been known for its conservative design, with minimal changes to its appearance over the years.

As a result, it makes it hard for users to distinguish between generations. The newly revealed horizontal camera layout could be a rare aesthetic innovation for the Xperia 10 series in recent years.

Moreover, it’s worth noting that among Sony’s models, only the original Xperia 10 and the Japan-exclusive Xperia 8 have adopted a horizontal camera design.

Back to its roots?

If the news is true, the Xperia 10 VII will be the first product in the series to return to a horizontal camera layout after six generations. To compare, Sony just released the Xperia 10 VI in June this year, which focuses on lightness and battery life.

In addition, it is equipped with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and is currently priced at US$409.99 (~RM1731.80) on Amazon. Based on the leak, we could assume the Xperia 10 VII will still be positioned in the mid-range market.
