Sony launched two flagship smartphones last year, the Xperia 1 II and also the Xperia 5 II which got overwhelming response from the market. Today, we got a leaked on the upcoming Xperia 1 III on its outlook and some of the features by Onleaks.
According to the reliable leakster Steve Hemmerstoffer, the overall size of the phone has gone smaller but remains the 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display with 21:9 aspect ratio. As for the refresh rates, we are expecting it either to remain the same with Motion Blur Reduction feature or upgrades to 120Hz. The bezels are quite slim with one selfie camera on top along with the stereo speakers.

The outlook of the Xperia 1 III
As for the cameras, it has a quad camera setup similar to its predecessor but Sony replaced the telephoto camera with a periscope lens instead. With this move, we expect the Xperia 1 III to have a better optical zoom this time. The 3D iTOF sensor and ZEISS T* coating is still on it. We also noticed that it got an extra button just like the Xperia 5 II that may be dedicated as the Google Assistant button
Either way, there is no official confirmation on the tech specs and release dates yet, so do take this with a pinch of salt. We expect it to be launching as soon as next month like its predecessor last year. For more updates like this, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
