Sony Mobile Communications (Sony Mobile) have just launched their Sony Xperia X, Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra smartphones for Malaysia for RM2499, RM1199 and RM1699 respectively. The Xperia X and XA will be available nationwide from 22 June 2016 and 27 June 2016 respectively but the Xperia X is already available on pre-order at the Sony site. The larger Xperia XA Ultra will be available from July 2016.
Models with the various Sony Xperia X models
Featuring a borderless design with a curved glass display, the Xperia X range is very compact despite the large displays. We're particularly interested in the Xperia XA and XA Ultra due to the design, as they both actually look more borderless and almost bezel-free than the Xperia X, but we're told this is because of the side fingerprint sensor on the Xperia X. According to Sony, the new X series feature an improved cooling system but we'll know more later.
