Sony Xperia XA2 Plus silently revealed with 6-inch display, 3580mAh battery and more

Wait, didn't Sony Mobile release the Xperia XA2 Plus already? Actually, no. That was a different name and you were probably thinking of the Xperia XA2 or XA2 Ultra that were released in Malaysia way back in January this year (I know, the names are so confusing). Anyway, the Xperia XA2 Plus is the latest family addition so below are the tech-specs and features.

As the name suggests, this is the plus-sized variant of the Xperia XA2 and comes with a 6-inch display in an 18:9 aspect ratio. While it may have gotten bigger, it's not the same rectangular brick phone you remember because they have also reduced the space on the top and bottom too. On the back, there's a single 23MP camera and a fingerprint scanner below it, while the front is using a single 8MP selfie snapper with a super wide-angle lens up to 120-degrees.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, Sony Mobile has made two variants based on memory and you can get either a 4GB + 32GB or 6GB + 64GB model. No worries about the lack of memory if that seems small for you, it also has an expandable memory via a microSD slot at the side. The battery pack is pretty good standing at 3580mAh with Quick Charge 3.0 technology, also running on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Apparently, it's also capable of recording a 4K video footage too.

At this moment, we are not sure if Sony Mobile will import this into Malaysia, I guess we will just have to wait and see. Until then, stay tuned for more Sony news at TechNave.com
