On the hunt for a new camera to vlog or live-stream? If so, hold your horses because you might want to wait for a new Sony mirrorless camera to be released next month. Sony Malaysia has confirmed the release of the ZV-E10 II in August 2024 in Malaysia.
Although the exact launch date and price haven't been announced yet, the new camera's specs and features are already available on the Sony Malaysia website. First, we can confirm that the Sony ZV-E10 II packs an APS-C type (23.3 x 15.5 mm) Exmor R CMOS image sensor. It can snap still images of up to 26MP or videos of up to 4K ([email protected]). Thanks to a new BIONZ XR image processing engine, it has improved autofocus and video capture capabilities.
Physically, the Sony ZV-E10 II is small. It comes with compact 121x68x54mm dimensions and weighs only 377g without lenses included. Speaking of lenses, it can be paired with an E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS II E-mount lens (35 mm full-frame equivalent, 24-75mm focal length). This lens offers versatile close-up performance for better details, making it great for vlogs or daily shooting. The lens will also be available in August 2024.
The new video capture functions include Creative Looks and Cinematic Vlog Setting. Creative Looks lets you instantly enhance photos using one of 10 options. You can also tweak the parameters of these options to your preference for up to 6 custom styles. As for Cinematic Vlog Setting, this feature can auto-adjust the aspect ratio, frame rate, and AF transition speed to optimal settings for cinematic video capture. In addition, you can pick from five "Looks" like the S-Cinetone for your vlogs, allowing you to change settings like skin tones, colours, and more.
