Update (10 Feb 2022): Sony has confirmed that the Walkman NW-WM1AM2 would be priced at RM5499, while the top-tier NW-WM1ZM2 has an RM14999 price tag.

Earlier today, Sony introduced two new Walkman music players to its Signature series - the NW-WM1ZM2 and NW-WM1AM2. As you would expect, these aim to deliver new heights in High-Resolution Audio for the most demanding of audiophiles. The new models use various high-quality components to help output their incredible audio quality.
The NW-WM1ZM2 has a 99.99% purity (4N) gold-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC) chassis. On the other hand, the NW-WM1AM2 uses an aluminium frame. Both models have solid chassis that can resist electrical noise and interference, which improves the audio signal from the music player. Moreover, the NW-WM1ZM2 and NW-WM1AM2 have features like S-Master HX digital amp technology, DSD Remastering Engine, and DSEE Ultimate to improve audio quality.
In terms of specs, both models can play lossless FLAC files of up to 96kHz. With this setting, the NW-WM1ZM2 and NW-WM1AM2 can last for about 40-hours before needing a recharge. As for storage, the NW-WM1ZM2 comes with 256GB of storage, while the NW-WM1AM2 has 128GB of storage. There's also a microSD card slot in each model for extra storage. In addition, they are compatible with Android 11, so music streaming services like Spotify are also supported.
The prices for the NW-WM1ZM2 and NW-WM1AM2 have yet to be announced. However, Sony mentioned that you can pre-order it starting 17 March 2022.
