Sony fans look away. The company announced that it will raise the price of its PS Plus subscription effective 6 September 2023. That said, what should you know about this price hike?

In case you didn’t know, you can download your free monthly games for August before 4 September 2023. That includes PGA Tour 2K23, Dreams and Death’s Door. Despite the price hike, the benefits of these plans remain the same. These are the new prices for PlayStation Plus 12-month subscription plans:

Notably, the new prices for the PS Plus plans remain at a discount compared to the 1-month or 3-month plans. If you already subscribed to the 12-month plans, the price hike will not take effect until your next renewal date which occurs on or after 6 November 2023.

On the other hand, if you make any changes to your membership plans on or after September 6, your plan will be updated according to the new prices. That includes upgrades, downgrades or buying additional time. As usual, you can change or cancel your subscription at any time. For further details, you can read here.
