According to Bloomberg, Sony has reportedly scrapped plans to bring Saros and Ghost of Yotei to PC. That said, what should you know about it?
A new strategy for Sony?
For your information, this is seen as a larger strategy shift to bring back certain games that are exclusive to the PlayStation console only. The move came after PC game sales fell short of expectations, accounting for around 1.5% of overall revenue.
Additionally, the first PlayStation exclusive to be offered on PC was Horizon Zero Dawn in 2020. This was followed by God of War, The Last of Us and more. Only games with direct services such as Hell Divers, Marathon and Marvel Tokon will be offered on PC from now on.
Moreover, this strategy may be taken after the new CEO of Xbox said that from now on, Microsoft will return to an exclusive game strategy. With a higher number of players, Sony has an advantage over Xbox at this point.
As of now, there are no further details on the news. So, we should wait for more announcements from Sony.
