As Sony continues to drive the popularization of HDR, the Japanese tech giant company has unveiled a new OLED TV called the A1E Bravia OLED which features a 4K HDR processor X1 Extreme and Sony’s unique Acoustic Surface technology. With these two features combined, this eliminates the speakers and the sound is now emitted from the screen, making the visual and sound become “one”.

The 4K HDR processor X1 Extreme which was featured in Sony’s flagship Z9D series. X1 Extreme, is able to give the A1E a visual appeal of 4K HDR content, this draws out the full potential of self-emitting OLED panels, producing deep blacks and brights that more faithfully capture real world visuals.

In addition, with the speakers gone, the unique Acoustic Surface technology will produce the sound by vibrating the display which enables the sound output directly from the screen, enabling it to be a speaker-less and stand-less TV.
