Today, Sony just announced a brand new cooling fan accessory for the Sony Xperia 1 IV exclusively. Dubbed the Xperia Stream, this is a multiport accessory with a cooling fan for pro mobile gamers to cool down the Xperia 1 IV phone and stream at the same time.

From the livestream, the Xperia Stream was designed by Sony in a collaboration with eSports team SCARZ and it fully covers the phone from end to end, thus making it quite thick. According to the presenters, the accessory is actually lightweight so it won't make the phone heavier. There are some ports below it too, including an audio jack, HMDI, LAN and a USB C port.

Cooling performance is definitely the main feature here, as the rear cooling fan's role is the capture the air and circulate it to the entire phone, even to the front display (slightly) thanks to the Xperia Stream's curvature at the sides. Sony calls this the Total Cooling System.

Sony didn't mention anything about the price and availability, but the Xperia Stream will make an appearance at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show so the public can try out at Sony's demo gameplay booth.
