Recently, Sony announced a special 11/11 sale for the PS5. Now, Sony has started offering the PlayStation 5 at 25% off the original price. So, what should you know about it?
Even cheaper than the Malaysian promo
For your information, in Japan, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition is priced at ¥55000 (~RM 1469) compared to the original price of ¥73000 (~RM1950). This is cheaper than the price of the same console in Malaysia, which is RM2069 each or RM1589 during the 11.11 promotion.
Moreover, this console supports only Japanese and plays only games for the Japanese market. So, the language and country settings cannot be changed. Sony is offering this console in Japan as a way to mitigate the impact of the weakening Yen and the increase in console prices due to tariffs imposed by the United States.
The Japanese version of the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will go on sale on November 21. It is the first console released by Sony to be locked to language and country settings since the PlayStation 2.
