Sony launches the World's Smallest and Lightest Wide-Angle Zoom Lens

If you are a Sony fan and are into photography, this news might excite you. Recently, the company released the world's smallest and lightest wide-angle zoom lens. That said, what should you know about this lens?

In case you didn’t know, the G Master™ FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II (model SEL1635GM2) lens works as a 35mm full-frame α™ (Alpha™) E-mount lens. It also covers focal lengths from 16mm to 35mm with a maximum aperture of F2.8 over the entire zoom range. Plus, it offers a minimum shooting distance of 0.22m and a maximum shooting magnification of 0.32x.

In addition, the lens sports the world's smallest and lightest wide-angle zoom lens with a total length of 111.5mm and a weight of approximately 547g. That is 20% lighter than its predecessor. On top of that, Sony's original Nano AR Coating II suppresses ghosting and flares for clearer images.

Moreover, this lens offers comfortable operability and excellent still image and movie shooting performance. It is also suitable for both beginners and professionals. But it does not end there, you can use this lens outdoors without worries thanks to the dustproof and splashproof design.
