Sony has assured consumers that they should have “a much easier time finding” PlayStation 5 (PS5) consoles in the market this year thanks to an increased supply. Moreover, the company also announced a new “Live from PS5” spot which celebrates the PS5 community.

In an official blog post yesterday, Sony thanked fans for their patience while the company navigated unprecedented demand for the PS5 console amid global challenges. However, Sony claimed that it is now much easier to find the console at retailers globally.

Sony then announced that it is inviting more players to join the fun with the new “Live from PS5”. This new spot hints at the breadth of extraordinary experiences taking place in the PS5 universe through the style of a live news channel.

Besides that, Sony also announced a flurry of new games and expansions that are set to come out this year. These include:

  • Forspoken
  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage
  • Final Fantasy XVI
  • Hogwarts Legacy
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
  • Resident Evil 4: Remake
  • Street Fighter 6
  • Destiny 2: Lightfall
  • Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores

Beyond new games, Sony is also expanding the PS5 console experience with all-new accessories like the recently-released DualSense Edge wireless controller. On 22 February, it will launch the PlayStation VR2 with more than 30 games in the launch window such as Horizon Call of the Mountain, Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village.
