Today, Sony is proud to present two new Cybershot cameras into the family - the DSC-HX99 and DSC-WX800 which are designed for travelling with high zoom capabilities. According to the company, both the HX99 and WX800 have a truly versatile zoom range from 24mm at the wide end up to 720mm super-telephoto.

Moreover, both cameras are equipped with Optical SteadyShot to minimize image blur during handheld and telephoto shooting, also just as capable of capturing 4K video footage with full pixel readout, coupled with the trademark BIONZ X image processing engine with a front-end LSI that can deliver continuous shooting up to 10fps with up to 155 images. They are also borrowing the Eye AF technology from their α series siblings.

On the other hand, the HX99 is able to shoot in RAW format and has a maximum ISO 6400. For the user interface, it comes with a Control Ring which can be customized to the user's preference such as manual focus or step zooming. Touch Focus / Touch Shutter function is there as well for the user to directly select subjects and the viewfinder has a built-in high-contrast retractable OLED Tru-Finder.

There is no local price tag for the two cameras yet, but they are coming into Malaysia in November 2018. You can find out more information about the HX99 on Sony's website here, and stay tuned for more Sony news at TechNave.com.
