
Samsung and Sony both offer the best mobile camera sensors on the market. But if you were to ask which one has the highest resolution, then Samsung is the heavyweight champ with its 200MP sensors. That could change soon, as Sony gets ready to unveil its Sony LYT-910 sensor.
Sony's first 200MP sensor
According to @feni_book, the Sony LYT-910 is the "new king of 200MP sensor". It's Sony's first 200MP camera and is a 1/1.11-inch sensor with 0.7µm-sized pixels. Phones with the Sony LYT-910 can capture 50MP and 200MP images. This means you could snap photos at up to 4x optical zoom and still get lossless image quality after cropping.
Moreover, the Sony LYT-910 is expected to offer a dynamic range of more than 100dB. If you prefer recording videos, it can also capture slow-motion videos in 4K 120fps or high-resolution videos in 8K 30fps.

Expected debut in 2026
The source didn't confirm when the Sony LYT-910 would be released. However, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, vivo X300 Ultra, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra were listed as possible devices featuring the new sensor. Based on the launch date of each model's predecessor, this sensor's debut could be in 2026.
