Sony's next TWS earphones are called LinkBuds

When it comes to TWS audio devices, you mostly see two main designs these days. The first type is similar to the regular in-ear monitors that go into your ear canals, while the are the earbuds with the stem. However, Sony has decided to try out a new design.

Thanks to @TechInsider, we have our first glimpse of the Sony WF-L900, also known as the Sony LinkBuds. This is a pair of true wireless stereo earbuds with a weird donut shape. It's the most unusual design we've seen from a pair of TWS earphones so far. We're not sure how this will affect the sound quality, but sound leakage will probably be an issue here.

Since it doesn't seem to have silicon buds, ambient noise could also be a problem. However, the Sony LinkBuds will allegedly feature active noise cancelling (ANC) to prevent that. Another interesting characteristic is the spots on the chassis of the earbuds. These could either be part of the design, or an indication that it uses materials like ocean-bound plastic. If it's the latter, then the Sony LinkBuds could be a budget-oriented model.

With that said, what do you think of the design of these new TWS earbuds? Would they be comfortable to wear? Let us know what you think in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about it.
