This week, Sony is proud to announce a new premium turntable that allows old school vinyl owners to play their favourtie songs on the Sony PS-HX500. It’s the world’s first portable turntable that allows you to convert your vinyl tracks into High-Resolution Audio quality digital files which is the equivalent to DSD quality, it’s now available at all Sony Store outlets for RM2699.

Obviously made for audiophiles, the product has a newly developed tone arm to the die-cast platter and the plinth itself. The tone arm there was designed with the stylus tip located in the central axis of the arm, ensuring excellent stereo balance; an integrated round head shell that minimises resonance, and an anti-skating device is incorporated into the arm assembly

With a high quality DSD native converter, this allows the user to take their favourite music from their vinyl collection and play it on a compatible PC, mobile, portable music-player, or even in their car. It even has an ntegrated phono preamp for high-fidelity home audio playback.

Lastly, there’s also a PS-HX500 PC application software, where a vinyl record can be converted to High-Resolution Audio files on the user’s PC and edited, titled, cut, or combined together, allowing users to be truly creative with their music in post-production.
