It has been over two years since the Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) was released, but thanks to scalpers and chip shortages, the gaming console hasn't been easy to get until this day. That said, we may have a hint of its following lineup as Hideaki Nishino, Vice-President Senior of Sony may have hinted at a possibility of a PS5 Pro.

During an interview between Nishino and Famitsu (a Japanese media outlet), he said the PS5 will be crossing 37 million units by the end of 2022. When asked about the company's plan for the future, he was not allowed to give further details but hoped that we are all excited about next year.

According to sources, there were plenty of PS5 Pro rumours. One of the rumours was a new removable disc driver model and some developers already have it. This could allow Sony to sell the alleged PS5 variant with the same price tag as the Digital version, and release the disc driver as a separate accessory. Moreover, this concept would make the console thinner.

Speaking of thinner, the PS5 Slim may also be possible since the PS4 Slim exists. The removable disc driver would make more sense with this model but of course, everything is just speculation now so do take it with a pinch of salt. But what do you think? And which one would you prefer? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
