It's been a while since Sony have announced a new product launch in Malaysia, but for those who are looking for new audio products during this Conditional Movement Control Order, the company have confirmed that a new wireless WF-SO800N sport Headphones and EXTRA BASS wireless speakers coming soon. No local prices are unveiled yet, but here's what we know about them so far.
Starting with the wireless headphones, this wearable pair is best suited for people who have an active lifestyle. Featuring an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance, you can safely wash them off after a tough training session with ease. There is noise-cancelling technology too, but the wireless headphones also have an Adaptive Sound Control that adjusts ambient sound settings depending on the environment you're in.
Speaking of adjusting the ambient sound settings, Sony allows you to take full control as long as you install the Sony | Headphones Connect app. You can also tap on the earbud's surface to play, stop or skip, as well as controlling the volume. They can pause any music too when you take off one of the earbuds thanks to the wearing detection. In terms of battery life, a full charge will provide 18 hours of music playback.
On the other hand, Sony will also be launching the SRS-XB43, SRS-XB33 and SRS-XB23 EXTRA BASS wireless speakers. If you're familiar with this lineup, you can expect Sony's trademark EXTRA BASS sound technology to be on board, but they have added some new features too. This includes X-Balance speaker unit which maximizes the area of the speaker diaphragm, increasing sound pressure yet reduces the driver excursion, resulting in less distortion.
The new EXTRA BASS models have an IP67 water and dust resistance rating, shockproof, and even comes with a multi-colour line for partying. Users can also customize and control the speaker with the Sony | Music Centre app with their favourite songs and turning on the lights. For battery life, it can stand up to 24 hours.
The WF-SP800N wireless headphone, as well as the SRS-XB43, SRS-XB33 and SRS-XB23 wireless speakers will be available in Malaysia starting from July 2020. We expect the local prices to be announced by then. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
