Sony to launch PlayStation VR2 in Malaysia on 22 February 2023, priced at RM2799

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has recently announced that the PlayStation VR2 (PS VR2) for the PlayStation 5 will be released in Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries on 22 February 2023. Revealed in an official blog post, SIE also announced that the PS VR2 Sense controller charging station will also launch on the same day. 

Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President, Brand, Hardware and Peripherals of SIE shared the details of the PS VR2 lineup and recommended retail pricing for each product in Southeast Asian countries. However, do note that availability in each respective country is subject to local import regulations.

For the standard PS VR2 package, it includes the PS VR2 headset, PS Vr2 Sense controller and stereo headphones. In Malaysia, it will retail for RM2799. 

Meanwhile, SIE will also be releasing a PS VR2 Horizon Call of Mountain bundle which is similar to the standard package but with a Horizon Call of the Mountain PS Store voucher code. Moreover, it will also have a Horizon Call of the Mountain-themed packaging box and will retail for RM2999.

Finally, the PS VR2 Sense controller charging station will be sold at RM229. Players can charge the PS VR2 Sense controller through a simple click-in design, without having to connect to a PS5 console – freeing up the console’s USB ports.

The blog post further revealed that PS VR2 will be sold at participating retailers, with pre-orders beginning on 15 November 2022. Information will be provided through participating local retailers.
