Last week, the Sora app went viral for its ability to generate videos that looked incredibly realistic. Within hours of its launch, it became the most downloaded app on the App Store while social media was flooded with videos it generated. However, there are some issues that arise. So, what should you know about it?

It could be a nest of misinformation and bad examples

For your information, problems began to arise when videos featuring popular characters doing negative things were generated.

After just two days, Sam Altman announced that Sora's model now blocks the generation of characters that own intellectual property. He said that OpenAI received a lot of feedback from IP holders and, therefore, the generation of characters that do not belong to the account holder is now prohibited.

IP holders will get their fair share

Moreover, Altman said OpenAI plans to share revenue with IP holders whose characters are generated by users. Payments will be shared between OpenAI and the IP holders, but the payment structure is still being refined and will be launched in the near future.

Furthermore, anyone who violates Sora's terms and conditions below may be banned from using the platform. Because Sora accounts are the same as OpenAI accounts, this will result in users losing access to Sora and ChatGPT.
