If you have been on Instagram for quite some time, you might be familiar with the spam bot issue. Not only they are an eyesore for your follower list, but they also make it difficult for you to check up on your friends and so forth. That said, there is a new solution for it.

For your information, Meta is rolling out a new set of tools which allows you to limit spam content and bots on your feeds. As you can expect, Instagram will also inform you if your content is following the guidelines. The new tools will be introduced gradually in the coming weeks.

In addition, Instagram has worked on and improved its automated detection system which eliminates spam across comments, tags, story views and followers. Plus, the system will flag fake followers and spam-filled content for you to delete them at any time. Interestingly, you can delete these messages in bulk to save time.

As a result, suspected spam or bot account will be filtered into a separate box for your review. You can choose to either approve or delete these requests. Otherwise, these requests will be removed after 30 days.
