The Huawei Watch special edition was recently revealed by Huawei Consumer Business Group (BG) and styled by renowned Italian designer Barnaba Fornasetti for the guests at Vogue China's tenth anniversary party at Milan Fashion Week 28 September 2015. The watch is made of modern technology, design and art represents a collaboration between Huawei, Vogue China and Fornasetti. The smart watch allows users to stay online wherever they are, with calls, texts, instant messages and email notifications.
It is designed with the iconic Fornasetti “Tema e Variazioni” motif, with a watch strap and accompanied by a box both designed using the classic green "Malachite", a signature of Fornasetti's choice of colours. The box also has the instantly-recognisable Fornasetti keyhole.

Sponsored by Huawei, the product is only available as gifts to guests of the Milan Fashion Week. Popular celebrities and supermodels Karlie Kloss and Sean O'Pry, who were featured in the Huawei Watch advertising campaign and photo shoot will attend the exclusive event. Fashion photographer Mario Testino who did the photo shoot will be attending as well.
Other than that, designers and artists around the world would be pleased with Huawei's platform "Design Powered by Huawei" (http://consumer.huawei.com/design). This platform launch, is for designers and artists to go online and create art on their website. This can include customization skins for existing products such as the watch and smartphones. Huawei is excited to see what the design community creates.
The Special Edition Huawei Watch features:
- Fully circular 1.4-inch touch-sensitive AMOLED display, coated in scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass (the favoured choice amongst Swiss watch manufacturers) and a cold-forged stainless steel frame.
- Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and watch face that measures 42mm in diameter
- Capable of downloading music for offline playback, and with Bluetooth connectivity for wireless headphones
- A heart rate sensor accurately measures heart rates, and the 6-Axis motion sensor can track activities including walking, running and stair climbing
