Earlier this week, realme announced that it was going to have a major launch event on 25 May 2020. 8 new products are expected to be launched and it seems a new realme X50 series device is one of them. This device is allegedly a gaming-centric device that's called the realme X50 Pro Player Edition.

According to Digital Chat Station, the realme X50 Pro Player Edition has two main differences compared with the regular realme X50 Pro. First is that it has a sleek-looking silver-coloured body. As for the specs, it allegedly has a rear camera setup that's 1 'rank' lower than the realme X50 Pro's setup.

To be more specific, the realme X50 Pro uses a 64MP main camera, 12MP telephoto lens, 8MP ultrawide lens, and 2MP depth sensor. In contrast, the realme X50 Pro Player Edition's rear camera setup consists of a smaller 48MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide sensor, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor. This type of setup is quite common in 2020 and could have been chosen to make it a cheaper device.

Also, this realme X50 Pro Player Edition is supposed to retail for 3299 yuan (~RM2021). That's a great deal, as it means that consumers can have a flagship device at a relatively affordable price.
