With this latest figure, Spotify has paid around $60 billion to the music industry to date. Spotify says that about 10 years ago, in 2014, it paid out $1 billion and had 15 million paying subscribers. Since then, Spotify has grown rapidly. From this figure as well, Spotify shares over 10,000 artists who generate over $100,000 per year through Spotify alone.
Moving forward, Spotify says it has reached 1 billion paid subscribers across its various streaming services, leading to the development of its music scene, and helping artists generate more revenue through their work, while also easily reaching a wider audience.
