Internet services collect data all the time, whether it's your total active time or your preferred content and activities. For Spotify, the data the company is interested in would include what you're listening to. Now, you can see those stats in a weekly format.
Weekly Listening Stats
Yesterday, Spotify announced its new listening stats to provide users with a quick look at what they've been listening to throughout the week. The feature is available to free and Premium users in more than 60 countries. Also, you can share your weekly listening stats with other Spotify users or other platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp.
So, what stats does it actually show? According to Spotify, listening stats show your favourite artists and songs from the last four weeks. If you don't know what else to listen to next week, you can even follow the suggested playlists. Of course, these playlists are based on your weekly listening stats, so they should fit your preferences. Spotify also said it will show a special highlight every week to show "what makes your listening unique".
