If you happen to be the primary account holder of your Spotify Premium Family Plan, you should be informed about the new membership changes. Initially, Spotify allowed six members to join a family plan, but it has revised it to just four members.

Spotify has already notified all of its subscribers via email about this update. Despite decreasing to just four members, the monthly subscription price is still the same at RM24.90 per month. You can still maintain six members but at an extra cost by purchasing two additional slots which bump up to RM40.70 per month.

Compared with the original Family Plan (with six members), the new price revision is RM15.80 higher. So if you want to save your cost, you may have to kick out two members. If not, then all the members have to bear the increased cost together.

Oddly, new the Spotify Premium Family Plan is only applied to a few countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia. Meanwhile, our neighbouring countries - Singaporethe Philippines and Brunei are still maintaining their current six-account policy for one Family Plan.
