Using a smartphone while driving is a big no no and Spotify recognizes this. Skipping to the next track on your Spotify playlist can be a hassle and even dangerous while you’re driving and Spotify clearly agrees. Their latest update changed the music playback’s layout, making it a little safer to use on the road.

The giant music streaming app recently released an update that allows users to use the app without having to take their eyes off the road. The much playback screen now has giant icons for the play/pause and next/previous buttons so you don’t have to tear your eyes off the road to tap on the buttons.

Spotify playback when it is connected to your vehicle via Bluetooth

While the update has just began to roll out worldwide, the mode is only available when the app is connected to your car’s infotainment system via Bluetooth and it doesn’t support connection to your vehicle via a cable which is kinda annoying. Let’s hope Spotify releases an update to toggle the feature manually. For more quality of life tech updates, make sure to keep an eye out on TechNave.com!
