The Steam Deck has received a nice quality-of-life update recently which allows users to directly copy games on their PCs to the handheld. Previously, users would have to separately re-download games available on their PCs over the internet onto the Steam Deck.
As reported by The Verge, this feature is part of the Steam Deck beta released last week. The transfer process uses your local network, hence the PC and Steam Deck should be connected to the same network for it to work.
Moreover, users must first enable Steam’s beta on both the Steam client on the PC as well as on the Steam Deck. Steam will then automatically check to see if any PC on your network already has the game and should there be one, it will begin the game transfer process.
