For those who are looking to try out new PC games and indie titles, it's time to mark the Steam Game Festival on your calendar again. That's right, Valve and Geoff Keighley are teaming up again to run the Autumn Edition for the event. This time around, it'll be held for one week from 7 to 13 October 2020.

The Game Awards host announced this on his Twitter recently but didn't confirm how many games demos will be playable. Also, Valve has already sent out a notice to developers asking them to opt-in by no later than 26 August 2020, if they want to showcase their demos at the event. Only games that are launching between 13 October 2020 to 1 May 2021 are eligible, so we should see a more condensed list of demos this time.

Besides game demos, developers will also have the option to participate in live streams and developer Q&As. This will most likely require developers to opt-in early too and the time slots available will be limited. However, Valve has yet to announce if there will be a focus on indie developers or larger game studios. Cyberpunk 2077 has a high chance of appearing in a live stream though, as it is the most anticipated AAA title for 2020.

With that said, is there a particular game demo you'd like to see in the next Steam Game Festival? What else should Valve do to spice up the event? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook page and don't forget to stay tuned for further updates.
