Back a few months ago, Valve announced that they were developing a new crossplay method for Steam players to play together. Today, the company is proud to reveal Steam Remote Play Together and you can check it out on your Steam account right now! How much does it cost? Absolutely nothing! Well, ok. Not really, but here's how it rolls.

Steam Remote Play Together is a new way of playing games with your friends together online even without having everyone to purchase a certain game, as well as playing them on your phone, tablet and TV! That's right, if your friend doesn't have that particular game, they can get to play with you for free via Remote Play Together. With that said, the rule is at least one player must-own and host the game online which up to four players can join.

This is just the tip of an iceberg

While there are a ton of games available for Remote Play Together, you can't really expect some AAA game titles on the platform as it's also made for mobile phones, tablets and the TV. You can download the Steam Link mobile app on the Google Play and Apple App Store (even Raspberry Pi). At the moment, the only popular game that we know of is Life is Strange, Rayman Legends, Mortal Kombat 11, Divinity II Original Sin, Injustice 2, Street Fighter V, and many many Lego games.
