Steam Search greatly improved, can now filter games based on price

We've all done it at one point or another, crawling through pages and pages of Steam store pages to search for a game that could pique our interest. Well, the Steam store now has an improved search system for you to quickly find the games you would be interested in.

According to a Steam Blog post, the new features were developed by Steam Labs, which is the team Valve is tasking to build and experiment new features for Steam. For the improved Steam Search, you can now filter search results based on price, as well as include and exclude different genres by tags. Filtering by maximum price is particularly useful, especially when you're trying to find the best-discounted title during a Steam sale.

Another really useful change in Steam Search is the results screen itself. Previously, the system divides search results into multiple pages and you have to click through them manually to see more. Now, Steam will just automatically load more results as you scroll down. Thumbs up for that!

These changes should be very helpful for those who spend a lot of time on Steam looking for new games. Do give it a try and let us know what you think about the new feature on our Facebook page! For more news on tech and gaming, remember to stay tuned to TechNave.com.
