Samsung is probably the leading brand in foldable phones now
Foldable devices started popping up a few years back, as companies look to take advantage of new flexible displays. A great thing about this new form factor is that it enables new ways of using devices. Like it or not, it's here to stay.
Unfortunately, not everyone's interested in foldable phones. According to a recent study, only 47% of iPhone users are interested in foldable devices. Mind you, this study is for people in the US and 47% is still a large percentage. But don't be surprised if you don't see any iPhone Flip or iPad Fold anytime soon.
Up to 48% of Apple owners express a lack of interest in foldable phones
On the other hand, about 50% of American consumers would like to get foldable devices, so the interest is definitely there. The report also points out that foldable phones are becoming more popular in place of tablets. If you want more statistics, you can read more here.
Of course, this is a very limited survey for consumers in the US, so it might not be relevant for us. So the question is, how many of you are interested in foldable phones and would be willing to pay the premium for one? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
