With the release of OPPO A78 today, one wonders what is the difference between the previously released OPPO A78 5G and this entry. The new OPPO A78 might not come with 5G support, but it does pack a punch in other departments. With that said, let's take a quick look!
The latest entry in the A78 series includes the Qualcomm SM6225 Snapdragon 680 4G (6 nm). This chipset also comes with the Octa-core (4x2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold & 4x1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver) CPU. Compared to its 5G version, the storage for the Oppo A78 4G can be upgraded up to 256GB.
On top of that, the OS for the Oppo A78 4G starts with the latest Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1. When it comes to battery life, the phone provides great endurance with a Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable battery. This entry also features the 67W SUPERVOOC flash charge compared to the 33W in the A78 5G version.
Display-wise, the A78 4G comes with a 6.4 inches FHD AMOLED display. A great panel for streaming and a better gaming experience. The Corning Gorilla glass is also a fine touch for a long-lasting screen. It also features a 50MP main camera and an 8 MP front camera.
The A78 4G is set to be released in 2 colours: Aqua Green and Mist Black. Both are sold at an affordable price of RM 999. To sweeten the deal, customers who purchase the smartphone on Shopee from 7th – 31st July 2023, will receive a pair of True Wireless Earbuds worth RM109.
