With IFA well underway, lots of brands have been revealing new products and innovations. But while not many know that TCL has smartwatches, that's exactly what the company has unveiled at IFA 2020. The new MOVETIME Family Watch MT43A smartwatch is designed for senior citizens and comes with several features that help them.
According to TCL, the MOVETIME Family Watch is a smartwatch with 4G connectivity, allowing it to make hands-free phone calls. One of its main features is automatic fall detection, which will send an alert to emergency contacts that the user has assigned. It also has a heart-rate sensor that can alert the user if irregular heart-rates were detected. Besides that, it also comes with activity tracking, sleep monitoring, and medication reminders.
In terms of design, the smartwatch sports a dark grey and black main body that measures 41 x 48.5mm in size. The screen is an AMOLED touch display with larger icons than most smartwatches, making it more suitable for senior users. On the left is the 4G SIM tray, while the button and an SOS button can be found on the right. Since it has IP67 water and dust resistance, it can also be used while taking a swim in a pool.
Priced at 229 Euros (~RM1125), the Watch MT43A will be launched in North America and Europe first.
