TECNO PHANTOM X Malaysia release: Helio G95, 6.7-inch AMOLED display and 33W fast charging at RM1499

TECNO during a launch event today announced the release of the TECNO PHANTOM X smartphone in Malaysia. Featuring a 3D Borderless Screen and the industry’s first silk glass back cover, it is ergonomically designed with a 36.5 degree golden angle for better grip and comfort.

In terms of display, the PHANTOM X features a 6.7-inch AMOLED with an FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, it sports the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset, 8GB+3GB of RAM and 256GB storage.

Powering up the device is a 4700mAh battery which supports up to 33W fast charging. The battery can be charged up to 70 percent with just 30 minutes of charging.

As for the cameras, the PHANTOM X at its rear features a 50MP Ultra-Night with a 1/1.3 super large sensor, a 8MP ultra-wide with 120 degrees field of view and a 13MP telephoto with a 50mm lens. At its front, the device has a 48MP Ultra-Clear selfie camera together with an ultra-wide camera with 105 degrees field of view that has an AI-assisted Super Night Mode and 50mm Golden Portrait.

Completing the specs list are an under-display fingerprint scanner, Android 11 via HIOS 7.6 OS and two colour choices of Van Gogh’s Starry Night Blue and Monet’s Summer. The device was also recently awarded with the Discipline Product of the 1.08 telecommunications product category at the iF Design Awards 2022.

In Malaysia, TECNO Malaysia has also appointed Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei as the ambassador for the company. Local consumers who purchase the PHANTOM X will also get 13 months of device warranty and an 180 days warranty for its screen.

The PHANTOM X will be sold in a sole 8+3GB/256GB variant in Malaysia. Its official retail price is RM1499.
