TECNO Malaysia has teased that it will be launching a foldable smartphone for our local market, the TECNO Phantom V Fold 5G. Announced recently at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona, the smartphone is the first foldable by the company.
Taking to its official Facebook page, TECNO Malaysia has teased details and posted several marketing promos for the device, stopping short of announcing the release date in Malaysia. As reported by Amanz, a TECNO Malaysia representative has confirmed that the Phantom V Fold 5G is indeed releasing in our country soon.
While we wait for more details on this, let’s dive into the specs of the foldable. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chip paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, the smartphone comes with 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Of course, the star of the show is the foldable display which is a 7.85-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and the secondary portrait screen on the outside which is a 6.42-inch 120Hz AMOLED curved panel.
The Phantom V Fold 5G also comes with a 50MP main camera at its rear, a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W and runs a HiOS Fold UI. The OS allows for Parallel Windows, Split Screen, Drag & Drop and Driving Mode.
