TECNO Pova 6 Pro release - Dimensity 6080 SoC, 6000mAh battery & “Dynamic-Light” LEDs at the rear

TECNO has unveiled the TECNO Pova 6 Pro at MWC 2024, a gaming-focused smartphone with some compelling specs for its class. It also sports a semi-transparent back with LEDs that are reminiscent of the Nothing Phone series, which you can read more about below. 

According to GSMArena, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC paired with 8 or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s also a massive 6000mAh battery under the hood, which supports 70W wired charging and 10W wireless reverse charging.

Screen-wise, it’s a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED with an FHD+ resolution. Camera-wise, the front has a 32MP selfie shooter, while the back sports a 108MP main camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. 

As for the design, the rear has a semi-transparent back in grey or green with a series of LEDs called “Dynamic Light Effect. Specifically, there are 210 LEDs and 9 lighting modes with 101 user-defined effects to choose from.

No pricing has been announced yet, with TECNO only revealing that it’ll launch in India, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia by the end of February. Other markets, including Malaysia, will only see a launch over the coming months.
