TECNO SPARK 40 Pro+ to launch in July as the first smartphone powered by the Helio G200 SoC

TECNO has announced that its upcoming TECNO SPARK 40 Series will be the first to feature the all-new MediaTek Helio G200 SoC. Specifically, the chipset will make its debut on the TECNO SPARK 40 Pro+, so read on to learn more. 

In a press release, TECNO revealed that the SoC offers an over 10% performance boost compared with its predecessor. This would amount to enhanced smoothness, faster computing and a seamless entertainment experience, elevating the performance of entry-level smartphones. 

The company added that the next-gen 4G chipset is built on TSMC’s advanced 6nm process. It features an octa-core CPU configuration with 2x Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz.

Joey Qu, TECNO senior product manager, asserted that with the Helio G200 SoC, the SPARK 40 Series will redefine what’s possible in its class, offering an unprecedented experience for its users. The SPARK 40 Series is set to launch in global markets in July.
