TECNO has launched its latest budget-friendly 5G smartphone, the TECNO Spark Go 5G, in India for INR9,999 (~RM 569).
While its Malaysia release date has yet to be confirmed, the price and features suggest it could be a strong contender in the local affordable 5G segment.
This model aims to offer practical features, long battery life, and 5G connectivity at an entry-level price, making it suitable for students, first-time smartphone buyers, and those looking for a secondary device.
Features and performance
Under the hood, the Spark Go 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with 4 GB of RAM and an additional 4 GB of virtual RAM in certain variants.
It comes with 128 GB of internal storage and microSD card support for expansion. The device runs Android 15 with TECNO’s HiOS 15 skin, with a promise of up to five years of smooth performance.
A highlight is its “No Network Communication” mode, which allows users to send essential messages even in areas with weak mobile coverage. This could be a feature that could be useful in rural parts of Malaysia.
The phone is also IP64-rated, giving it resistance against dust and light water splashes, which is uncommon at this price point.
At just 7.99 mm thin and weighing about 194 g, the Spark Go 5G also offers a comfortable in-hand feel. Daily convenience is covered with features like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, DTS-enhanced speaker, a headphone jack, and USB-C fast charging.

Pricing, colours, and potential Malaysia release
In India, the Spark Go 5G is priced at INR9999 (around RM569) for the 4 GB + 128 GB variant. Colour options include Ink Black, Sky Blue, Turquoise Green, and Bikaner Red. Sales start in India on 21 August 2025 via Flipkart and selected retail outlets.
TECNO has yet to announce Malaysian availability or pricing, but if launched here, it could compete with models like the Redmi 13C 5G, Infinix Smart 8 Pro 5G, and Realme Narzo series.
