Previously, we reported on the launch of the TECNO Spark 20 Pro in the Philippines, a budget smartphone with compelling specs at its price range. Now, it’s been confirmed that the device will make its way across the South China Sea to Malaysia, as the company has teased its imminent launch in our country.
Taking to its official Malaysian Facebook account, TECNO released a teaser video about the device, showing it in two different colour variants. At the end of the video, it was announced that the Spark 20 Pro is “coming soon” to our shores.
However, no exact launch date was mentioned, though we do expect it to be released sometime this month. As a refresher, the Spark 20 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
There’s also a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W charging via the USB-C port. Display-wise, it’s a 6.78-inch 120Hz LCD with an FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole cutout at its top centre, housing the 32MP selfie shooter. At the back is where you’d find the 108MP main camera paired with 2 auxiliary QVGA sensors.
Other notable specs include NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, a 3.5mm audio jack, an IP53 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Android 13 via HiOS and colour options of either Moonlit Black, Frosty Ivory, Sunset Blush and Magic Skin 2.0 Green.
