While it was unfortunate that the OPPO R11s series never saw the light in Malaysia, OPPO is now moving forward with a new model and for some reason, they are skipping the number 12, 13 and 14, coming out with an upcoming R15 and R15 Dream Mirror edition. In fact, these two models are matching the ones listed certified by TENAA, a 3C authority in China (OPPO PAAT00 and PAAM00) just recently.

According to TENAA, the PAAT00 which is probably the R15 will come in black and red variants, featuring a rather humongous display of 6.28-inch AMOLED screen supporting 1080p resolution, an octa-core Helio P60 processor clocking in at 2.2GHz, 6GB of RAM, 128GB internal storage, 3300mAh battery and a bit heavy for a smartphone, weighing 175g and measuring at 155.3 x 75 x 7.5mm. The dual rear cameras are one of the highlights, featuring a 16MP + 12MP sensor while the front uses a 20MP sensor. Of course, it will also run on the latest Android Oreo.

Meanwhile, the R15 Dream Mirror edition (PACT00) is more or less the same with the R15, it has the same display size, Android Oreo out of the box, memory capacity, similar measurements but has a slightly bigger battery size of 3365mAh. Although the front camera is the same as well, the dual rear camera is only 16MP + 5MP so that's quite odd but we shall see about that. This Dream Mirror edition could use a Snapdragon 700 chipset instead too.

Obviously, the design there shows the familiar front top-notch display but we aren't going to touch much on that because it seems that almost every smartphone manufacturer is doing that now. So what do you think of them? Do you want the OPPO R series to return? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more OPPO news at TechNave.com.
