Today, TIME dotCom announced that it is making WiFi 7 technology available to its Home Fibre customers. This will mark TIME as the first Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Malaysia to offer WiFi 7 devices with its existing Internet plans.
As the name suggests, WiFi 7 will deliver faster speeds, capacity and stability. The company said new subscribers will receive a free WiFi 7 device on selected plans, whereas existing Time users can purchase it as an upgrade. The selected plans are only for those who subscribe to 600Mbps or 1Gbps plans on a 24-month.
New 200Mbps subscribers can upgrade their router to WiFi 7 as well but at a price of RM99. For existing TIME subscribers, they too have the option of upgrading their devices from just RM19 per month through Self Care.
Previously, TIME has introduced invisible microfibre FTTR (Fibre-To-The-Room) technology, free speed upgrades for 100Mbps and 500Mbps subscribers to 200Mbps and 600Mbps, respectively, and the introduction of 12-month contract plans with a focus on short-term flexibility.
